Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sathu mobile application operated by KAPSDEVELOPMENT AS (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

The App is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed toward children.

1. Use of the App

The App is provided for informational and inspirational purposes related to Buddhist temples and Thai culture.

We aim to provide accurate information, but we do not guarantee completeness, reliability, or availability.

2. User Accounts

Certain features of the App require users to create an account.

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials.

We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms.

Users may also request deletion of their account from within the App.

3. AI Chatbot (Boon)

The App includes an AI-powered chatbot called Boon.

Responses generated by the chatbot are produced automatically by artificial intelligence systems and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate.

The chatbot is provided for informational and inspirational purposes only and should not be considered professional, religious, legal, financial, or medical advice.

Users remain responsible for how they interpret and use any information provided by the chatbot.

4. Subscriptions

Certain features of the App may require a paid subscription.

A paid subscription may be required to access premium features, including access to the Boon chatbot.

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

Users may manage or cancel subscriptions through their App Store or Google Play account settings.

Deleting an account does not automatically cancel billing through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

We do not process or store payment information directly.

5. User-Submitted Content

Users may submit content such as photos of temples.

By submitting content you confirm that:

• You have the right to submit the content.
• The content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
• The content does not include identifiable individuals or personal data.

We reserve the right to review, remove, reject, or moderate submitted content at our discretion.

6. Donations

The App may include options to make voluntary donations.

Donations to temples may be processed by third-party payment providers.

We do not control or manage how such donations are used by third parties.

7. Intellectual Property

All original content in the App, including text, design, illustrations, and layout, is owned by or licensed to KAPSDEVELOPMENT AS unless otherwise stated.

Unauthorized copying or redistribution is prohibited.

8. Availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App at any time without prior notice.

9. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

We are not responsible for decisions made based on information provided by the App or the chatbot.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KAPSDEVELOPMENT AS shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the App.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway.
